ITP Announce The Introduction of Their Proactive Server Management Solution.

Decades of experience supporting networks and servers have shown us that break-fix support is disruptive. These days, time is increasingly valuable, unplanned downtime as well as engineer support time can be very expensive. Hence a proactive pre-break monitoring system for servers would help keep servers up longer. Downtimes and repairs and maintenance can be planned.

The Service - ITP will monitor daily and take responsive action on following key server processes:

·         Backup and Restore – including quarterly testing to verify backups are being taken.

·         Available free disk space and Disk fault tolerance status – if left unchecked disks can quickly fail causing unexpected and costly downtime. Raid arrays should always be monitored to ensure that fault tolerance is being maintained, because if the array fails the backup is the only thing standing between you and the loss of your data.

·         Monthly General server health check – to ensure that your server continues to give dependable service.

·         Microsoft Updates – Updates are important to apply on a regular basis but to set them as an automatic process, can result in servers becoming unresponsive when automatically restarted. ITP can manage this process, so that updates are applied in a planned manner by a network engineer. This can be arranged to occur remotely outside of working hours, in order to cause minimum disruption to your business.

·         Antivirus status updates and alerts – We will monitor the status of your virus software and alerts in order to ensure that any virus or malware outbreaks are curtailed quickly.

·         Status Reporting – So that you are kept aware of the overall operating status of your server.

·         Critical Server Events Monitoring – Our engineers will evaluate the security strength of your server to maintain a network that is difficult to attack and remains secure.

·         UPS Monitoring – It is surprising how much variability there is in the UK mains supply, So not only is your UPS an essential piece of equipment for facilitating the structured shutdown of your server should the mains fail but it is also important to keep you informed of mains variations that can fall outside of electrical company standards.

Many companies charge for each of these services separately. At The IT Partnership we understand that these services work together, in synergy, to provide the core parameters to ensure server health. For this reason we are bundling them together. There is a one-off setup fee of £175.00 (Ex VAT) and a monthly fee of £99.00 (Ex VAT) per month, per server.

Terms and Conditions:-

1-        The service will monitor the server services ALREADY in place. For example if backup is not in place currently, this service will be unable to monitor it. ITP will be happy to put these critical services in place at relevant additional cost and then proceed to monitor them.

2-        Likewise ITP will be happy to advise on best practise or minimum hardware and software requirements. The costs of elevation to supportable levels are not included in this service.

3-        Remedial action as a result of monitoring other than actions taking not more than 15 minutes per server per week is not included. These and any other issues involving visits or supply will be dealt with and invoiced via our support ticketing system.
